I realize that I'm a terribly sporadic poster, but looking back at the pictures....Sadie is so small! What a wonder a little, growing child is!

<IMG style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; I'm still amazed at how much we travel! We recently spent a week in KS enjoying wedding merriment and festivities. Loads of fun! Our next trip is to KY to put on a VBS for Buckhorn church at the end of this month. The end of July holds conference in IA (of which Jeremy and I are both speaking...same time, different places. Pretty bummed about that one!) where I plan on enjoying fellowship with friends from across the country. Please be there or be square, as we used to say. And for another picture...since I've given in to the baby taking over the blog idea.

<IMG style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; Sadie and I got to spend some time in KS with the grandparents and some dear, dear friends. We had lots of fun catching up with people and helping Cheri with wedding plans. Great way to make time fly by!

Jeremy returned from Africa (yeah!) on Saturday the 14th. Sadie and I got to ride the bus up to Detroit to pick them up. It would have been a really fun surprise, except they took longer in customs then we expected and Sadie got a little hungry. So out walks Jeremy and I have to stay seated with the blanket draped over me. Not exactly ideal, but it was nice not to have to wait all day to see him.

Sunday the team that went to Africa shared at church. It was nice for Jeremy to only have a shortened version of a sermon. Monday found us in the car to southern Indiana for Ministers Fellowship. It was a long ride for Sadie and Jeremy was still really messed up on his time. We spent the week in Indiana, coming back Friday to an appointment with the accountant. This may be the first year we got good news! Crazy how a baby can help that out so much. =)

This week we were finally able to get back to a bit of normalcy. What a blessing! We hope your month was full of blessings as well.

<IMG style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; She came a little early in the morning, 1:05 a.m., and she weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and measured 20 inches. We gave her the name Sadie Faith (not Ethel or Mortimer, thank goodness!). Jeremy thought it would be nice to text a bunch of our friends so they would know as soon as they woke up. We thought it considerate not to call everybody...only family. The only problem with that (if you've happened to read Lem's blog) is that not everyone has their phone set to not wake them up every 5 minutes or so to let them know they have a message. Oops...our bad. Hope it didn't ruin anybody's day too badly!

Sadie is doing well...still working out the schedule, but overall she is a great little girl. Jeremy is so good with her! We feel so blessed and are glad she is a part of our lives. Thanks everyone for thinking of us.

sarah

<IMG style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px; I'll admit that my posts are almost always informative and rarely appealing for their literary eloquence. But I suppose that's just who I am. I'll leave the word wrangling to the half of us that's really good at it!

I did not want this blog to become all about baby; another reason I've been less than quick about updating. But I realize that many of you want baby updates. So here it goes. I have about 5 weeks left until the due date...which could mean the baby will be here any time or he/she will be here in at least 7 weeks. I wish there was some kind of timer I could check to see a little more closely how much time was left, but I guess I'll just take it as it comes. I'm not continually uncomfortable yet, which is nice. I'm told when the baby drops is when it's not so much fun anymore.

We've been to our labor and delivery class, I've been reading a natural childbirth book, and we go to our meet the physician (pediatrician) visit on Monday. We've been collecting many little things that a baby needs, and that makes everything more exciting!

In non-baby news, we have been keeping busy. This week I worked at a draft horse sale, and this next week will be my last work week before the baby comes. We've been to a little CMC brainstorming meeting in the past month, which was exciting! Jeremy is gearing up for a church vision series and then Christmas series. We just started a little premarital preparation with Ian and Jub (super excited about that!), and we always seem to have some sort of meeting going on. Jeremy is supposed to speak at Rosedale on the 14th of Nov. (my due date...hope the baby comes a little early), and we have a missions conference coming up next weekend. Seems like there is never a dull moment.

Well, this post is starting to get long. I had better sign off... sarah

Monday, June 30, 2008

Our lives seem to be flying by lately. Let's see....we've been to KS and Delaware and everywhere in between it seems. All the way to KS and only a couple hours with my family....all the way to Delaware and no beach. Those were the bummer moments.

But we had some great moments too. Grandpa Miller's funeral was one of the most meaningful funerals I've ever been to. I experienced some traditions/cultures I'd never experienced before. I am glad to have known him.

In Delaware, we married off teammate #2. Two down, two to go. Really good time of seeing old friends and hanging out with some family. I ate some amazing French Silk Chocolate pie made by a Certain Man's Wife and I got to take a bath for the first time in a year and a half (we only have a shower here....yes I'm clean!).

On our way home from Delaware, we stopped in at a little artisan village we helped out with while we were in Reach. If you ever swing by Grantsville, MD you should stop in. It's located right beside the Penn Alps restaurant. They have an amazing potter, bird sculptor, glass blower and many more fun things.

Since we've been home life has been certainly busy. Jeremy got a new and improved hard drive on his computer, but that meant he spent a great deal of time reinstalling all the software he had on before. TIME CONSUMING! So consuming in fact that I was practically forced to push mow the entire lawn myself. Poor me....

We started a baptism class today. It's probably one of the most diverse classes I've been in. We have all the way from 5th grade to getting married in three weeks. But it seems like it could be kinda cool. I'm really pumped because they will be getting baptized at the church picnic probably in the pond there. I love emersion baptisms...I don't know why. They are just pretty neat I guess.

Well, I guess I will end my randomness for this post! g'night ~sarah

Friday, May 23, 2008

- Jeremy

Wow, it has been a while. I haven't xanga'd in....a year. Sarah has done most of the info dispensing the last while. But it seems that she hasn't been feeling so well the last month or two. We took her to the doctor in March and discovered she had a growth in her abdomen. Obviously we were concerned and still are, however, the doctor has assured us that normally this type of growth should work its way out sometime in mid-november. No chemo or radiation, just exercise and lots of small meals throughout the day.

We have been monitoring it's growth closely and at some point will have to give it a permanent name. I had been calling it "speck" but then several weeks later it looked more like a "peanut." Right now it's "apple" due to its current size. In the end I'm pulling for Mortimer or Ethel but those names seem to cause marital tension which is not the sort of environment we are wanting to raise this...baby in.

Anyway, it is a good time to be alive. My wife is growing beautifully even as she pukes her guts out most days. I hope for her sake that she isn't sick the whole time. I have always told her that I wanted as many kiddos as she would give me, but this one has been kicking her tail and she told me a while ago that she wasn't sure how many of these she could take. Maybe we will adopt 3 or 4.

Well, i'm out of xanga shape, i cant type anymore.

Snow Day

<IMG style="BORDER-TOP-WIDTH: 0px;
